Finished a John Quincy Adams biography yesterday - our 6th president, the son of our 2nd president John Adams. He kept a journal for over 68 years giving us the most vibrant recollection of a founding father’s journey. He was a devoted husband, stern father, romantic poet, accomplished politician, passionate abolitionist, and he apparently wore white socks 🤍 📸: 1st known photograph of a US president @nytimes
