The story
behind the notes.

Nearly twenty years ago, during one of the last conversations I had with my dad, he left me with a simple piece of advice:

"Whatever you do, be happy."

I've carried those words with me ever since.

At first, I thought happiness was something to chase—a destination I'd eventually arrive at if I worked hard enough or made all the right choices. Over time, I realized it isn't quite that simple.

What I've really been searching for is a life filled with curiosity, creativity, meaningful work, and ordinary moments that make me stop and appreciate where I am.

I've found those moments in beautifully designed spaces, old buildings with stories to tell, mountain trails, secondhand treasures, books, conversations with strangers, and adventures that remind me to keep exploring.

Professionally, I've spent years creating spaces through Cactus Creek, styling homes and events, designing short-term rentals, and finding new purpose in forgotten pieces. Whether I'm decorating a room with thrifted furniture or hiking a trail I've never seen before, I'm drawn to the same thing: discovering the beauty that was there all along.

This website is where I collect those experiences.

Some are design projects. Some are adventures. Some are simply ideas worth remembering.
